Meet the Open Playscapes Team

Simon has worked in landscape construction for over 30years. Simon was self-employed for 20 years before moving into a senior project management role with a leading commercial landscaping company. After 3 years he was promoted  into the role of senior estimator where he worked for a further 3 years. During this time, he developed a passion for Playground construction and the use of natural play and the direct link to child development. He then moved to  a start-up company in the playground sector before taking a step back into self-employment and starting Open Playscapes Pty Ltd. Simon has successfully been working and managing Open Playscapes while employing 10 full time staff. His passion for playgrounds remains and 98% of the work delivered is play orientated.

Simon has worked on several major playgrounds for Knox City Council, Yarra Ranges Council, Whitehorse Council and Maroondah City Council just to name a few. Open Playscapes is soon to become one of the first landscape construction companies to sit on the service provider panel at the City of Port Phillip, which is a testimony to the continued level of service provided to their community

Jayden has had 20 year’s experience in the landscape industry, working on both domestic and commercial sites. He has a passion for working with natural elements such as logs and rocks creating natural playscapes. Jayden specialises in concrete work and timber works, including timber play items.

•  Manual Handling Operating & Maintaining Chainsaws Certified
